Dr. Ed Richert, M.D.

After completing his residency in 1980, Dr. Richert came to Modoc County and opened a Family Practice office.  He took over Dr. Gilbert's position as the County Health Officer and has continued in that position for over 30 years.

When talking about his work at MMC's Family Practice Clinic Dr. Richert stresses, "We try to help people maintain wellness.  Illness prevention has always been an important area, however it is a much larger focus of medicine now.  There are now more options and treatments in preventative care.

"Our goal is to provide continuity of care to our patients.  We strive to treat people as a whole, and as family members in issues of that regard.  I am committed to continue to practice here."

Dr. Richert and his wife Carol have six children and five grand children.

In addition to serving the therapy needs of the MMC campus, Paul also enjoys spending time coaching the local youth sports programs for soccer and baseball.
